Well-being and Enrichment

Although the teaching of dance is our focus; providing performance, examination and workshop opportunities, what makes us unique is our emphasis on the mental well-being and enrichment of our students. Our Ambassador team are available to talk to students and we also have a 'worries, thoughts and ideas' box at the Academy.

Our Ambassadors create a monthly Newsletter that includes what the Academy has done over the previous month, birthdays that have been celebrated and much, much more.  Click on each month icon below to view the newsletter.

We want our students to feel part of the Pips Family and enjoy coming to class and making friends.

When joining Pips each student is given a lanyard in which they can earn badges for their dance work, but also special badges for going above and beyond within the dance school and recognising years of service to the school.

One of the badges we have is STUDENT OF THE MONTH.  See below for our previous winners!

How We Support Well-being

What our customers and students say ...

I wanted to let you know that thanks to Pips, my daughter’s confidence and determination has grown so much that she trialled and got in to the school dance squad for her school to perform at Dance Live in March :) Thank you to Pips and all the great teachers and role models!

Parent

Thank you so much for everything you’re doing with my son. I can’t tell you what it means to find somewhere for him where he is allowed to be himself and looked after in such a loving and individual way. It is near impossible for parents of children with additional needs to find places that are as understanding and accepting as Pips. You should feel really proud.

Parent

Children entering their teenage years have a lot to navigate with influences from social media and peers.  In the world of dance this is particularly difficult for boys.  The confidence to dance that Pips has instilled in my son is priceless.  He's very lucky to have male teachers who can support and develop him.
